Free From Festival 2017

Spent a few hours today at the FreeFrom Festival talking to different stalls to figure out what’s new in the Free-From industry. Below, my favorite tables:

  1. Magdolna’s Paleo Cake: mostly vegan pastry, I had a bite of the chestnut, nutella and baileys cakes. By the way, I loved the packaging as well.
  2. Waffleland UK: they have paleo, GF, WF, DF and refined (sugar) free waffles; basically the dough is made out of sweet potato for the savory version with an avocado cream and some spinach on top. For the ones with a sweet tooth, they also had a paleo version made out of chestnut flour. Great find!
  3. The TigerNut Company : tiger nut products, including a tiger nut based milk. For whoever doesn’t know it, this is actually a very fibrous root vegetable that actually tastes nutty 🙂 . Very good for gut health!
  4. Superseed Pasta:  for anyone who knows how difficult it is to a find a good, gluten-free, paleo pasta, these guys are the answer. Bought their quinoa based pasta.
  5. sezamee : IBS is one of the biggest issues with visitors of such festivals. Sezamee offers the “gut-loving food” by following low FODMAP guidelines. Huelya did explain to me how difficult it is to eat out as an IBS-affected.
  6. Enough Snacklab: they offer a variety of sweets made with gut-friendly ingredients like probiotics and prebiotics. They also don’t use any sugar or unprocessed sugar, instead they rely on the sweetness of stevia and of different fruits like blueberries.

For even more stalls and talks, feel free to pop in the Old Spitalfields market. The FreeFrom Festival is running until 7 pm today. Bon appetit!
